Green Agent of Change, funded by City Bank PLC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, is implemented by Development Programme Initiative (DPI) in Bogura and Sirajganj. The project focuses on developing local Green Agents by strengthening the leadership, communication, and soft skills of selected beneficiaries, enabling them to promote environmentally responsible practices and inspire positive change within their communities.
Through Uthan Baithaks (courtyard meetings), workshops, and interactive learning sessions, the project fosters community engagement, encourages knowledge sharing, and builds local capacity for sustainable development. By empowering individuals to become advocates for clean energy, climate awareness, and green living, Green Agent of Change contributes to creating more resilient and environmentally conscious rural communities.
DPI’s core work under the Green Agent of Change project includes:
- Overall project planning, coordination, and implementation;
- Organizing and facilitating Uthan Baithaks, workshops, and community engagement activities;
- Delivering soft skills and leadership development training for Green Agents;
- Promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices at the community level;
- Monitoring project progress, documenting lessons learned, and supporting effective implementation.
